Be the Church - Justin Wright
For too long we have been taught that church is a place you go.
It is a building. It is an organization. Biblically, the church
is much more than that. It is an organism. It is a living thing.
It is the body of Christ. It is active. It is revolutionary. It
changes people, places, and whole societies. How can we grasp
this concept and teach it to others? How can we really "be
the church?" "Now you are the body, and each one of
you is part of it." I Cor. 12:27
The Bible on Sex - Berk Wilson
There is a lie circulating that if you follow God, your life,
especially your sex life, will be boring and repressed. Nothing
could be further from the truth. Are those who truly follow God
and his plan sexually repressed? We will look at some key passages
from Song of Solomon and discover what God really says about sex
for those who are close to Him.
Discovering God's Will For Your Life - Tim Haring
God has a plan for our lives--a plan that not only applies to
our "life purpose," but also to the decisions we make
each day. But how do we discover God's will? How do we know if
God is speaking to us or if He is leading us in a particular direction?
In this seminar, we will examine some of the principles from God's
Word on how to discover God's will for our lives.
Discovering Life Verses - Tony Pierson
In a world of ever changing circumstances, God gives us the Bible
as an anchor. Even more specifically He often will give us very
specific verses that anchor us for the particular mission that
He has designed for our lives. Learn how to discover these verses
and how a set of such verses has shaped one person's ministry
for the last 18 years.
Femininity: An Affirmation and an Awakening - Frank
Liu
As our churches engage an ever-growing number of single and divorced
women, there is a great challenge we face on how we are to lead
and envision them. Even successful wives and mothers can wrestle
with an inner question of whether they must abandon their gifts
and talent for the sake of parenting and the home. These are challenging
issues, but the alternative of ignoring them must no longer be
an option for God's church.
Fixing Your Eyes on Jesus - Jan Gordon (women only)
We start out running the race with high aspirations and goals,
but it is so easy to get sidetracked by the distractions of daily
life. These distractions include discontentment, resentments,
and frustrations which, unless dealt with, result in burn out.
As a mother of eleven children and a pastor's wife, I have many
daily opportunities to choose the right way to think in order
to stay in the race. In this seminar, we will be discussing key
components that will keep you running strong whatever your role
in life.
Friendship Evangelism - Matt Santen
You don't have to be Billy Graham, St. Paul, a famous athlete
or even Tom Short to share the Gospel. This is a seminar for those
of us who don't have the spiritual gift of evangelism. What role
can you play in the Great Commission? How can you be most effective
in sharing the Gospel?
GCM Staff Interest - Matt Gordon/Angie Marlow
As you seek to discern God's direction for your future, is full-time
or part-time ministry a consideration? Whether it is for a couple
of years or as a long term career option, Great Commission Ministries
provides excellent training and on-going support for staff. This
seminar will provide insight from seasoned field staff, staff
who have just finished support raising, and staff from the GCM
Office.
Grace: Annoying kindness for Imperfect People (A study
on Psalms 23) - Thomas Lemus
All our attempts to define God's Grace tend to fall short; grace
is so much more because God is so much more. In Psalm 23, David
masterfully draws a picture of God's grace towards us, understanding
the deep truths of this (Shepherd/sheep) relationship will affect
your life forever
High School Student Extravaganza - Chris Old
We couldn't think of a better title! If you are in high school,
or about to enter high school, this seminar is for you. How can
you prepare to be an impact player for Christ during these years?
Share about your experiences in high school and how you are impacting
your world for Christ.
Identity Thieves - Scott Brittin
Satan, the World and the Flesh all label us with a false identity.
Sadly, without knowing it Christians have fallen into the "Identity
Thieves'" trap and consequently are mired in low self worth,
fear of failure, insecurity, etc. Understanding and embracing
the truth of our identity in Christ experientially sets us free
from the "Identity Thieves."
International Student Ministry Panel Discussion
- Ed Russ and Panel Speakers
The nations are at our doors. International Student Ministry is
one way to be a part of fulfilling the Great Commission and we
don't even need a passport -- a friendly smile is enough to get
started! The International Student Ministry Panel Discussion is
led by seasoned International Student Ministry workers who will
share from their experiences. Our goal is to encourage and strengthen
those who are involved in an ISM and to give opportunities for
those who are interested in jumping on board with us. We will
share many stories and explain the opportunities we have in Great
Commission Churches to help you build or begin an ISM.
The King and His Kingdom - Frank Liu
When God does not act as we expect, our picture of Him can often
become disappointing and tainted. The problem is often not the
reality of God, but our perception of Him. In the Bible, the pre-eminent
portrait of God is as King and missing this idea means that we
miss the heart of God's story. Come and allow yourself to be challenged
by the King!
Know Why You Believe - Tom Short
The validity of our Christian faith is constantly under attack.
Yes, we have faith that Christianity is true, but we also have
good reasons to believe the Christian God exists, the Bible is
God's word and Jesus really is the Messiah. Ultimately, Christianity
is not based solely on faith, but on faith in the truth revealed
to us by God in Jesus Christ. The seminar will be a basic defense
of why we believe Christianity is, in fact, true.
Live Free and Light - Scott Brittin
Jesus said "My yoke is easy, my burden is light," yet
so many Christians are struggling to survive, let alone serve.
They put on a good face but are dying inside. What does it mean
to serve and "Live Free and Light?"
Making the Most of Your Time - Fidel Guerrero
This seminar is about what God has to say about time. Based on
the passage of Ephesians 5:15-17: "Making the most of your
time." We will discover that by understanding God's three
principles about time, we will be more productive with the gift
of time He has given us, therefore helping us to be more fruitful
with our lives and our ministry in each of our churches.
Missionary Preparedness - Robbie McAlister
People who are very serious about going on the mission field some
day should take advantage of this opportunity to take part in
a round-table discussion about missionary preparedness. Bring
your questions about how to begin now to prepare yourself for
the mission field.
Name: Get Into the Game! - Ed Russ
God wants all of us to get into the game of reaching the world
-- yes, that means YOU! In this seminar we will take a look at
the lessons and examples we can follow from the book of Joshua.
Joshua was a servant to Moses for years without much recognition
until God put him into leadership. When he was elevated, he was
ready! Our tendencies are to either jump right in over our heads
before we are ready or never jump in because we feel inadequate.
We all can become impact players for God as we prepare ourselves
to serve and seize the opportunities God gives us.
Rhythm - Billy Williams
Everything we do has a rhythm to it when it is done well. There's
something innate about the way we are made and the way that God
has created our world that speaks of rhythm. As we seek to become
impact players in the Kingdom of God, walking with God is essential.
Come to this seminar and discover ways that a variety of spiritual
disciplines can help us better maintain a steady, growing rhythmic
walk with Jesus.
Run the Distance-Finish Strong - Steve Hutmacher
This seminar is for young singles who are serious about remaining
fully devoted to Christ throughout their lifetime. The decisions
that we make along life's course such as who we marry, what career
path we choose, and where we live can derail us or aid us in "running
with endurance the race that is set before us" (Hebrews 12:2)
and finish strong. Steve will talk about his personal journey
as well as others' experiences and what he has learned after 31
years of serving God.
Singles Matter - Chris Martin
Many single adults are in a spiritual holding pattern. There are
three myths keeping them there both in the culture and the church.
This seminar will take a fresh look at a complex and confusing
chapter of the Bible that deals directly with singleness and spirituality.
I Corinthians 7 will explode these myths and help singles break
free to live with freedom and abundance ---now!
Spiritual Self-Defense - George Sebek
The Bible tells us that we are in the midst of a spiritual war.
All too often believers find themselves as spiritual casualties
rather than conquerors when it comes to dealing with the things
our spiritual enemy throws at us. Becoming an impact player for
God means learning how to stand and stand FIRM in the midst of
the battle. Join us as we discover how to deal with and overcome
the temptations and challenges we all face daily.
Surviving the Perfect Storm: Seeing God's Faithfulness
in the Midst of Trials - Timmy Powers
Do you ever feel like your life is being ravaged by the storms
of life? Do you wonder why God allows such trials? Timmy's story
of God humbling and breaking him through unexpected difficulties
on the mission field is sure to challenge, comfort, and inspire
you.
Transforming Troubling Habits into Godly Deeds
- Mark Groff
Sometimes our difficult habits are not corrected easily - even
when it seems like we've tried EVERYTHING! Can there be any hope?
We will examine Eph. 4:20-24 which offers a biblical basis for
heart transformation along with very practical means of seeing
those frustrating character areas replaced with the life fruit
that Jesus intends for us.
The True Fire for Ministry - Mark Groff
We are awed by the stories and heart of pastors/missionaries/conference
speakers. Yet when we look around (or maybe even in the mirror),
there is a nagging question of how someone can become so passionate.
How can our ministry fire avoid becoming a flame out? We will
take a look at Matt. 9:36-10:5a as the source for why Christ's
disciples COULD be sent out and the inner motivation that sustained
them through thick and thin.
Trusting God for the Right Husband - Tom &
Roz Short (women only)
The decision of whether to marry, who to marry and when to marry
can be a daunting one -- and yet, for many young Faithwalkers,
it is a decision that awaits us within the next few years. This
seminar will focus on the attitudes and aptitudes you can develop
now which will prepare you to be a godly wife and to have a successful
marriage. We'll also examine how your deepest need in life will
not ultimately be satisfied by a husband, but by Jesus Christ,
and how to seek Him in this one vital area.
Trusting God for the Right Wife - Tom Short (men
only)
The decision of whether to marry, who to marry and when to marry
can be a daunting one -- and yet, for many young Faithwalkers,
it is a decision that awaits us within the next few years. This
seminar will focus on the attitudes and aptitudes you can develop
now which will prepare you to be a godly husband and to have a
successful marriage. We'll also examine how your deepest need
in life will not ultimately be satisfied by a wife, but by Jesus
Christ, and how to seek Him in this one vital area.
The Vision and History of the Great Commission Church Movement
- John Hopler
In this seminar, John Hopler, Director for Great Commission Churches,
gives a big picture view of what God has done through this movement
of churches the past 37 years. Also, John takes a look at the
future of our movement--and explains how you can be a part of
the greatest mission given to mankind: The Great Commission of
Jesus Christ.
Why and How to be Filled with the Holy Spirit -
Berk Wilson
Why is the word "Power" not usually associated with
Christians? Though all Christians are indwelt with the Holy Spirit
not all Christians are filled with the Holy Spirit. This seminar
will deal with why and how to experience God's power consistently
in your life rather than occasionally.
Wired Weird? A Creative View of Ministry - Stoney
Douthitt
Are you unusual, different, or just plain weird? Me too!
Find out how God desires to use each of us in ministry in our
own particular bend. Join us in a kid-friendly presentation of
juggling and illusion and a discussion of various ministry gifts.

value within GCC. All adult youth leaders or volunteers, or anyone
who is interested in taking part in this vital ministry, are welcome.

The 7 Big Ideas for Building Healthy Leaders - Doug
Brown
One of the primary needs in churches and ministries today around
the world is healthy leadership. At Lee's Summit Community Church
we are incorporating the Building Healthy Leader model throughout
our church and are equipping leaders in Asia. We have been equipped
through LeaderSource. This is not a curriculum or a program. It
is a model that can be incorporated in any setting and in any
culture. The vision for leadership development is twofold: 1)
To build healthy leaders for the nations, and 2) To transform
the way leaders are built.
7 Weapons for the War With Sin - Jonathan Williams
If you want to be an impact player for the kingdom of God, you
have to come to terms with your greatest opponent: sin. In this
seminar, 30-year Great Commission pastor Jonathan Williams shares
valuable insight he has learned on how to fight our greatest battle
and come out victorious. You will learn the five New Testament
words for sin, a new definition for sin, the seven weapons, and
how to conquer sin by meeting your two deepest needs in God's
way.
8 Principles You Need to Follow if You Want to Win with
your Teenagers - Rick and Neva Whitney/Jim Hibbing
These 8 are what I would never yield on. We have trained and released
all of our kids as workers in the Gospel. They are now on their
own, serving and leading in our churches, scattered over several
states. In this seminar we will be talking about the 8 principles
that we taught each of them. We believe these 8 guiding truths
are critical. They are Biblical, timeless, and sadly I wish more
parents instilled them into their teens. But more and more parents
are imprinting their youth with these 8 truths because they work!
We would like to share them with you and take your questions.
If you would like your son or daughter to sit beside you - all
the better. And you are welcome to come to this seminar, even
if your children are younger.
Accountability: The Missing Link - Dennis Clark
& Panel
This seminar is primarily for men. It will be taught by an 'accountability
group' of four men from Parker CO who have met weekly for the
past three and a half years. It is their story about how God has
used this weekly meeting to build and change their lives.
Being the Best Helpmate You Can Be - Cheryl Sanchez
I have been married for almost 35 years and my husband has been
in ministry since Day 1. I have 7 children who are all following
the Lord. Those are my credentials. Being a helpmate does not
apply only to husbands, but to children and friends as well. I
am passionate about this subject and would like to share what
God has taught me through the years.
But Is It the Word of God? - Tim Cavanaugh
With only 1 life to live, there's no room for doubt. Is the Bible
just a great book or a book you can wholeheartedly and unreservedly
trust to be the Word of God? At Faithwalkers, you will be challenged
by every speaker, every seminar, and the lives of people who have
walked in faith upon the promises of God. Foundational to each
message and each life is the deep and settled conviction that
the Bible is the Word of God. We will be looking at the evidences:
manuscript, scientific, prophetic, historical and the most remarkable
of all, the Bible's ability to change lives.
Developing a Healthy Relationship with Food - Neva
Whitney
Why is it that women tend to struggle so much with food, especially
in this culture? Why do we think about food all the time? We either
starve ourselves or else we "binge". And we tend to
always feel guilty when we do eat. We have such a negative attitude
towards food. For a Christian woman, is it possible to think differently
about food? How can we watch our weight, without becoming obsessed
about it? This seminar will look at what the Scriptures say about
food and our bodies versus what society tells us. I have been
teaching Weight Watchers classes for over a year and as a Christian
woman I have six practical steps to help us change our thinking.
There will be Q & A.
Drawing Nearer to God & Living a Lifestyle of Praise
- Kathy Darling (a seminar especially designed for women)
As I've continued on in my own faith journey of walking with the
Lord now for 35 years, I've found it to be critical for me to
stay focused and spiritually connected, doing all I can to grow
closer to Him, and having that fresh desire (as the days and months
go by,) to live, to honor and to please Him with whole-hearted
devotion as well as cultivating a lifestyle of God-honoring praise.
Please join me as we seek God together in reexamining some simple,
yet vital spiritual truths to help us hold steady to the course,
while becoming freshly inspired and motivated to give God praise
from our hearts!
"But as for me, how good it is to be near God."
Psalm 73:28
Faith Coach 9-1-1: Discovering God in Life-Tsunamis - Mary
Knox
Let's take a stroll through the Psalms, and discover how God meets
us and grows us during life's challenges, that FEEL like they're
going to devastate us. My goal is to help you NOT FEAR the humbling,
challenging trials of life, but to TRUST GOD to bring you through
them--yielding the results HE WANTS.
Fear and Feeding on People - John Vanderhorst
Are you totally free to love people? One thing that works against
this freedom is what the Bible calls "fear of man."
We may think this is an affliction mainly of shy or timid people,
but it can be just as much an issue for bolder, more outgoing
types. We could call it the BIG-people/small-God syndrome. This
seminar will help you identify the syndrome in yourself and point
the way to freedom, where we need people less and love people
more.
For Me to Live is Christ - Ken & Paul Johnson
Description: The Apostle Paul possessed crystal clear laser like
focus for his life. What did this mean for him? What does it mean
for us? Should we adopt Paul's focus? If we do, then how should
we live?
Genesis on Gender, Marriage and Sexual Sanity - The Bible's
perspective on all the stuff your culture should never have taught
you - John Meyer
A two-part seminar on how Genesis provides answers and a foundation
on all the major issues in which our culture is losing it's way.
What is manhood, womanhood? How and why are men and women different?
Why is homosexuality wrong and harmful? What is human life? What
is our responsibility to the environment? Should global warming
be a Christian issue? And why are we the only creature on the
planet that wears clothes? The only real answers to these questions
all start in the first three chapters of God's book.
God's Super Resource to Become an Impact Player - Jonathan
Williams
If you want to be an impact player for the kingdom of God, you
have to be supplied with kingdom resources. Paul and the other
apostles describe the greatest of all kingdom resources, a super
resource for any situation in any place at any time: the grace
of God. Thirty-year Great Commission pastor Jonathan Williams
will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of grace,
the two ways God pours grace into your life, and the three ways
grace reigns in your life to equip, protect, and empower you for
the kingdom mission ahead.
God-Smarts - Brad Barrett
Want to learn from the smartest, richest man who ever lived, a
man who impacted his world for God? None of us has the kind of
insight and wisdom-- i.e., God-smarts -- that is needed first
for our own souls. Nor do we have God-smarts in complex relationships,
leadership, speech, morals, finances, parenting, and on and on.
Being an impact player for God is not about being having a high
IQ or natural abilities. Rather, it's founded upon gaining God's
perspective and insight into life itself. Come and learn how to
grow in smarts for the rest of your life.
Handling Anger Before It Handles You - Dave Bovenmyer
Much evil has been done in the passion of anger. Think of all
the vicious words, cruel actions, rash decisions, and even destructive
wars that have been conceived and fueled by the power of anger.
Add to this the effects of hidden, buried anger-depression, bitterness,
and damaged health-and it's not hard to see that anger is a monstrous
problem, affecting us all, often seemingly beyond our ability
to control. What is anger? Where does it come from? Why is it
so hard to handle? Is it ever justified? Come learn how to curb,
tame, and even harness the power of anger, turning it to good;
before it harnesses you.
Honor Your Mother and Father - Mike & Rita
Bergen
How's it going in your relationship with your parents? Are you
benefiting from the "first commandment with a promise?"
Struggles we have in many areas of life are often a result of
our misunderstandings about honoring our parents! The more you
understand about honoring parents, the more benefit you'll experience
in every other relationship. This seminar is applicable for everyone
from grade school up to any age.
Inspired Courtship - Chris & Virginia Biang
Chris and Virginia Biang will be addressing the arena of transition
between being single and getting married. We will be looking at
undistracted devotion, distraction and the process of being confident
in the courtship process. This seminar will also include a Q&A
session afterwards.
Integrating Your ISM with World Missions - Jim
Wiebelhaus
A multi-cultural mission team approach opens doors for the gospel
and demonstrates the diversity of the body of Christ. Having team
members you have a close relationship with, who know the language,
customs, and culture are of huge strategic value to missions.
Growing an ISM in your church can help your church develop diverse
and highly skilled teams that will multiply the impact of your
mission work.
International Student Ministry luncheon - coordinated by Jim
Wiebelhaus
A great fellowship time where each person will introduce themselves,
where they are ministering, their involvement with ISM, and their
ministry dreams. You will find both support and inspiration.
Intimacy in Marriage - Dave & Dawn Bovenmyer
With close to fifty percent of marriages ending in divorce, Christians
have a tremendous opportunity to display the wisdom and power
of God through loving, intimate, and lasting marriages. Why is
marriage so hard for so many? How do you kindle and sustain romance?
How do you resolve differences of perspective and opinion? What
are the keys to increasing intimacy in your marriage so that you
can meet the challenges of life linked heart to heart and arm
in arm? Come hear Dave and Dawn share some what they've learned
about intimacy through 32 years of marriage.
Loyal for Life - Kurt Jurgensmeier
Can you imagine serving Christ for the rest of your life with
the same people who came to Faithwalkers with you? American Christianity
is plagued with "church hopping" and those doing it
are often paying a heavy price. After 22 years of serving God
with several people I originally met in college, I would like
to share with you, from both biblical examples of "ministry
teams," and my personal testimony, the tremendous blessings
(and some challenges!) of being loyal to your church family for
life.
Making the Most of Your Single Years - Chris &
Virginia Biang
Chris and Virginia Biang will be addressing the issues of being
single and following Christ. We will be looking at contentment,
commitment, emotional needs and dealing with being single in a
married environment. This seminar will also include a Q&A
session afterwards.
Maximum Life Impact - Bill Cowell
What will you say about your accomplishments at the end of your
life? NOW is the time to begin thinking about this! If you are
going to be "impact player" for the kingdom of God,
you need to know the four valuable resources God has entrusted
to you. What are they, and how can you use them well?
Mission to the City Luncheon-coordinated by Andy Gray
If you're interested in participating in an urban mission trip
in 2008 or would like to find out about planning a trip for a
college or high school team, come and meet with Pastor Andy Gray
from the Urban Refuge in Minneapolis. Mission to the City has
been hosting teams for 10 years and is sure to provide you and
your team an eye opening, hands on, heart moving experience that
will stir up passion for the salvation of all peoples. Trips can
be scheduled to correspond with spring break or summer calendars.
The Music Revolution - Steele Croswhite
I believe that as musicians and worship leaders we have been called
by God to: love Him, bless the saints, and win the lost
and
I think God is up to something HUGE.
I want you to know that I think that God is starting a music revolution
right before our eyes here in the Great Commission. I agree with
Henry Varley who said, "The world has yet to see what God
can do with a man fully yielded to God." I believe that what
we are all a part of -- as worship leaders and musicians -- will
be spoken of in 20 years. Come and experience the vision together.
One Mom's Journey - Dawn Bovenmyer
What does it mean to love your husband, to love your children,
to be sensible, pure, a worker at home
(Titus 2:3-5)? In
this seminar, Dawn will share stories from her journey as a wife
of 32 years and mother of seven. Is it possible to be with those
kids day after day after day without growing crazy? Can you find
fulfillment in what some would see as boring and mundane? How
do you find the time and energy to love God and your husband in
the midst of it all? Come and hear Dawn share practical tips based
on Titus 2. Women of all ages, married and unmarried alike, are
welcome.
Parenting in the Foundational Years - Steve &
Kathleen Nelson
The demands of marriage, church, work, and ministry can easily
take their toll. Even so, we must never lose sight of all that
God has planned in our role as parents in raising our number one
disciples. In this seminar we will look at the convictions we
need to hold to raise our children in a God-honoring manner. This
seminar will focus on the infant to preteen years and is for both
moms and dads.
Procrastinate Tomorrow - Jay Yousling
I can be a master procrastinator. Last year I was asked to write
a booklet on Diligence for Faithwalkers and it wasn't done yet
this last fall. Can you relate at all? Missed deadlines, overdue
bills, significant goals continually unrealized, or promises broken
can erode your character and waste your life. I have been working
on this specific area and been making progress in my own life
over the last 25 plus years and if there is hope for me there
is great hope for you. If you struggle in anyway with lazy attitudes
or behavior that are keeping you from becoming all that you dream
of, you won't want to miss this talk. God is diligently working
to transform you into an awesome person in the image of Christ.
You will hear timeless truths through personal stories. No excuses,
just show up.
"The sluggard craves and gets nothing, but the desires
of the diligent are fully satisfied." - Proverbs 13:4
Provocative Evangelism - Mark, Jeromy, and Micah
Darling
At this seminar, we will share with you two extremely provocative
and innovative ways you can get the gospel out on your campus
and into your community! I personally guarantee that you probably
will have never heard of these two ideas before, nor tried them.
My desire is to take these national all across the country to
each of our churches represented at Faithwalkers. These are both
things that all of you can actually do and they can create quite
a buzz! One of these in particular will give you the chance to
share Christ with thousands of people. We have done them in Minneapolis.
You won't want to miss this.
A Really Bad Example
and the Women Who Loved Him -
Pat Sokoll
The very, very sad story of Lot: An ancient, (bad) example with
modern implications of how friendship with the world may lead
to a life you would never choose. This seminar is only for those
men & women who are prepared to ask themselves some uncomfortable
questions about what it really means to follow Jesus. (Please
consider reading Genesis 11, 14, & 19, prior to session) WARNING:
Side effects may include appearing hopelessly uncool!
A REVOLUTIONARY WAY TO DO CHURCH (and I do mean revolutionary!)
- Mark Darling
I would like to share with you the most important decision I have
ever made in the way I do church! I have been looking for years
for a more effective way to develop future pastors and leaders,
to build and strengthen the bond of love and commitment between
the saints, a great way to disciple and train believers, and a
better way to manage and effectively lead the church. This is
something that is truly replicable and can have a powerful and
profound impact on your church and in your church and on your
church's future. If you are looking for a way to ignite men to
become leaders and pastors, to help them really step out in faith,
and have been searching for a way to actually give them a real
life, real time experience doing it, this seminar is for you!
I promise you will leave stimulated in your thinking.
The Rumors Are True - Joy Whitney (with her dad)
Joy Whitney will lead a panel of women discussing the topic of
the single Christian woman. Her father will also help moderate.
My friends will talk about being godly women who are not afraid
to "break the mold." We have 6 things we would like
to share with you on how to be more effective as a single woman
- sold out and living for Christ! Are you ever confused on what
it means to be a single woman in this lost, mixed-up world? Walking
with grace as a woman is oftentimes, tough going and requires
true grit. You will hear from a number of women who are not afraid
to live a different kind of life. They have some radical stories
of how God is rocking lives. These women are crazy, Christian
sisters, and they like to talk about what the Lord is doing. I
think you will be inspired.
The Secret of Success - Tom Dunham
Wouldn't it be great if we could find one key - the master key
- that would open doors of opportunity and assure us of success
like we've never imagined? God has given us just such a key! This
is for everyone - but especially for those in school or college.
Join us to discover this key and how to make it open doors of
success and blessing for you. I will include a few testimonies
from those who have followed it.
Solomon's Seven Secrets to Financial Freedom - Bob
Bartlett
With 15 years as a pastor and 18 years in financial management
and business planning, Bob is uniquely equipped and qualified
to share the Proverbs-based principles he has practiced. Solomon,
the writer of Proverbs, is described in the Bible as the wisest
man to ever live. Using The Book of Proverbs as a guide, this
study presents a Biblical perspective on sound financial principles
for all people.
Soul Liberation - Andy Gray
So, Jesus set me free? Came to give me abundant life?
I'm
just not getting it. I feel like I never live up to my expectations,
let alone God's. My emotions are enslaved by my circumstances,
up one day, down the next. I feel trapped. Relate? We'll explore
the depths of the heart and the chains that bind the soul. Come
learn how you can live "free indeed."
The Swerver Supremacy - Bill Young and Steele &
Kim Croswhite
Bill Young will share the scriptural basis for a "better"
solution to Christian dating. Then, Steele & Kim Croswhite
will share their amazing Swerver story, leaving time for questions
& discussion.
This message is not for the faint of heart. I believe that even
with good intentions young Christian men and women are running
into problems in their "dating" relationships. How can
we best honor God in our guy/girl relationships? In this seminar
we'll explore dating vs. "dating with a purpose" (DWAP-ing).
My premise is that dating as a lifestyle is a "Swerver"
and can lead us where we don't want to go. Classic dating involves
motives and values which affect everything we do -- especially
our effectiveness in building God's Kingdom. I believe with all
my heart that God wants us to pursue purity and holiness -- especially
in our relationships.
Thirsty For the Word of God - Jay Yousling
What does it mean to be a man or woman of the Word of God? How
can we grow in clear, helpful ways in being T.H.I.R.S.T.Y. for
God's word? You will learn how to identify Biblical traits in
yourself and in others you are helping so that you know what to
strive for next in your quest to grow into a man or woman of God.
It is such a blessing to move ahead with great confidence and
strength in this area of your life.
"like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word,
so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation,"
- 1 Peter 2:2
"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled." - Matthew 5:6
The Toddler Years - Kathleen Nelson
It's not just diapers, bottles, and sleep schedules. The toddler
years are where most young families set a course for the future
of their homes. This seminar will help moms make the most of the
impressionable toddler years.
Together for Eternity - Charlie and Rox Meyer
Marriage for Christians today often ends up looking pretty much
the same as it does those who don't know Christ - lousy! After
22 years of marriage we are still convinced that this is an unnecessary
tragedy. Whether you are married or single you need to learn the
lesson that God taught us early on in our relationship that has
us still enjoying life with our best friend!
A View to Kill - Mike Olmstead (men only)
There is a time for everything-- even to kill. Battle weary brothers,
it is time kill this foe! Be holy and free from patterns that
can consume mind, heart and body. Take this "view to kill"
and "put to death...whatever belongs to your earthly nature:
sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which
is idolatry." Hear my journey and choose to take this view
with me.
What Part of "Get Out of the Boat!" Don't You
Understand? - Jack Stockdale
Part III in a series designed to move you from Judea-Samaria to
"the uttermost." Part I (2005) was "Get Out of
the Boat!" Part II (2006) was, "What? You're Still in
the Boat?" Is foreign ministry only for the exceptionally
gifted and the specially called? Must I not saturate my city and
state with the gospel before I consider crossing a border? What
about my ministry here in the US? Special consideration will be
given to issues regarding leaders moving overseas. The seminar
will conclude with a faith-stirring rendition of "St. Crispin's
Day" from Shakespeare's Henry V.
