Daylights – A daily devotional staple for many Great Commission Christians, this publication has been encouraging GCC churches for over 20 years.

 

Pastors' Wives Newsletter – It's hard to be a pastor's wife!! One monthly source of encouragement is the Pastors' Wives Newsletter.

 

Mission USA – Church planting is in the DNA of every Great Commission church. Mission USA is a collaborative effort to stimulate a fresh wave of church planting in the U.S. for the coming years.

 

International Church Planting – GCC churches are actively engaged in promoting international church planting – and even going themselves! GCC leaders and church members have planted churches across Europe and even into Asia.

 

THE FOLLOWING ARE MINISTRIES OFFERED BY PASTORS IN OUR ASSOCIATION:

 

International Student Ministries – Many GCC churches have launched successful outreaches to international students studying on American campuses – with wonderful results. For more information, contact Jim Wiebelhaus (JWiebel@juno.com).

 

Tom Short Campus Ministries – Tom Short has long been proclaiming the Good News on American college campuses. Recently, he published a popular book called “Five Questions About Christianity”.

 

The Whitney’s Parenting Seminar – Rick and Neva Whitney have raised a family that is devoted to Jesus Christ and the Great Commission, and for a number of years have been helping GCC families do the same. Their seminars and book, Growing Up Whitney, have been a blessing to thousands.

 

Herschel Martindale Teaching Ministry – Herschel has been pastoring God's people and teaching his Word for many decades now. His web site contains many wonderful resources for church ministry today.

 

People Matter Ministries – "There are no ordinary people " C.S. Lewis

The purpose of PMM, led by Dr. Dan Erickson, elder at Lee's Summit Community Church, is to help people discover, develop, and deploy their fingerprint of potential.

 

Character That Counts – CTC, led by Rod Handley, elder at Lee's Summit Community Church, is about "communicating life principles of integrity and accountability."

 

Wilderness LT – Wilderness Leadership Training makes available to leaders, emerging leaders, and committed Christians an all-encompassing wilderness solitude that brings them face to face with the living Christ.

 

Pastor Assist Ministries – Pastor Assist was founded by veteran Pastor Tim Honeycutt to encourage ministers who are experiencing fatigue, crisis or other challenges. The ministry offers prayer, onsite visits and phone calls of encouragement. When visiting onsite, Tim is available to serve in pastoral capacities to give the leadership an opportunity to regroup and regain focus and clarity. Tim is not a consultant, but a peer who has experienced ministry challenges and victories and has dedicated his life to strengthening pastors. Pastor Assist's services are free and Tim provides his own lodging.
